That’s a great one too, especially when you use it in Softube Modular, which I had just started getting into before I packed up my studio. These days, Massive X and Dune 3 get most of my use, but it could have been Hive if the timing was right. I was pretty underwhelmed at v1, but v2 seemed really good… but I had to stop somewhere. Any other time I just want a softsynth, I try Hive2 first.I didn’t buy Hive 2 for any other reason than I already have Dune 3, Massive, Massive X, Icarus, and about a dozen others that I can’t quite think of off the top of my head. Unless I have something specific in mind, any time I want an analog emulation vst I usually try Repro first. ![]() I’d add Hive2 as being really good (it’s why I bought it over Dune3, Spire, etc), as is Model 84.
